Renée Puglisi, CTRS, CBIS

Renée is the founder of Cognitive Concepts NJ.​  She is a certified brain injury specialist (CBIS) and a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS).  Renée has worked in the brain injury rehabilitation field for 20+ years, serving both pediatric and adult populations. She has experience in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, day programming, employment settings, and for the last 16 years, she has been providing services in the homes and communities of her clients.

Renée is dedicated to supporting individuals facing cognitive impairments due to traumatic brain injuries, concussions, aneurysms, strokes, anoxia, and mild cognitive impairments (MCI). She also offers care for those experiencing cognitive challenges linked to chemotherapy and long COVID symptoms. With her expertise, Renée aims to empower her clients to regain their cognitive abilities and enhance their quality of life.​​

Renée has a rich background in brain injury rehabilitation and therapeutic recreation, having completed internships at The Seashore House at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Children's Specialized Hospital. She earned her degree from Temple University in 2003 and is a member of the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey (BIANJ) and the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). Her dedication to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries reflects her commitment to the field. Renée continues to apply her expertise and passion in her professional endeavors.
